Rawalpindi board superintendent arrested for taking bribe to give higher marks

The superintendent of Rawalpindi board was arrested while accepting bribe for giving high marks. According to details, Anti-Corruption Rawalpindi conducted a major operation and arrested the superintendent who was receiving bribe. According to media reports, Rawalpindi Board Superintendent Ishtiaq Ahmed, who was taking Intermediate Part Two exams, was arrested for accepting a bribe of thousands of rupees.
The anti-corruption team of Rawalpindi also made a video of the entire operation in which the accused was seen being arrested with red hands during the raid by the anti-corruption team. Regarding the operation, DG Anti-Corruption Punjab Muhammad Gohar Nafees said that the accused was posted as a superintendent at the examination center of Government Christian Higher Secondary School Raja Bazar.
Under the Rawalpindi Board, Intermediate Part Two examinations are being conducted from students. Anti-Corruption Rawalpindi has arrested SST teacher Ishtiaq after conducting a trap raid and has also registered a case against him. DG Anti-Corruption Punjab Muhammad Gohar Nafees said that Circle Officer Rawalpindi Zulfiqar Bazid headed by Magistrate Talat Waheed conducted a successful trap raid.
Rs 25,000 marked with bribe was also recovered from the accused on the spot. The accused had received a total of Rs. 65,000 as bribe from the plaintiff for putting higher numbers. DG Anti-Corruption Punjab said that plaintiff Danish Raza was a 12th class student and also a candidate in the examination center. The accused Ishtiaq Ahmed is a senior subject specialist in the education department who was on duty as a superintendent at Raja Bazar Examination Center. He further said that the accused has been arrested and case number 43/21 has been registered
